Effective January 1, 2022, the No Surprises Act required practitioners to provide a Good Faith Estimate to those who are uninsurance and/or utilize self-pay services, and do not apply to any individuals who are using insurance benefits, including “out of network benefits” (i.e.., submitting superbills to insurance for reimbursement).  The GFE provides details to the cost of your medical and/or mental health care will cost.  You have the right to request and receive a GFE for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including therapy services.  It is possible to be charged more.  For more details about the No Surprises Act and Good Faith Estimate, please visit here.  https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises
