Adjusting to Change

Moving from one chapter to the next can be incredibly daunting, no matter your age. Whether you’re transitioning from high school to college, retiring, navigating a break up, changing jobs, or giving birth, therapy can help you cope with change, particularly if those changes stem from a traumatic event like the loss of a job, parent, child or home.

In therapy, we can work together to determine what is inside your locus of control, what is outside of your control, and how to cope with the intense feelings or doubts that often accompany big transitions.

Adjusting to a major change can be challenging and overwhelming. We can help you develop skills in emotion regulation, boundary setting, assertiveness, and communication to ease the burden.
