Adolescent Therapy

Parents often reach out to us if they’ve noticed their teen is struggling with anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, and/or self-esteem issues that display in behavioral changes such as; behavioral changes, such as isolation, avoiding social interactions, loss of interest in hobbies, irritability, a drop in grades, or outbursts of anger.. We understand and are sensitive to the unique challenges adolescents, especially BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ teenagers face, especially in our digital age where cyber bullying is rampant. We are here to be a safe space for your teen to process their experience and develop healthy coping skills.

Oftentimes we see teens (and adults!) whose self-worth is tied to their productivity. We can unpack where this narrative came from while promoting mental well-being and personal growth. When we work with adolescents in a therapeutic setting, we focus on honing self-advocacy skills, establishing healthy personal boundaries, nurturing positive self-esteem, and examining the delicate equilibrium between independence and interdependence in close relationships.
