Family Therapy

The main goal of family therapy is to cultivate healthy communication. The purpose of the therapy is to act as the facilitator to create a safe environment so each family individual feels respected and heard. This is achieved by utilizing techniques from family systems therapy and attachment theory. In family therapy the family unit may learn patience, understanding, empathy, and tools for effective communication.   Together, we can create a safe environment for everyone so each person in the family feels respected and understood.

Family therapy can be immensely helpful for any family struggling to connect or navigate changing dynamics as children grow up and become more independent. We also provide education on the window of tolerance so each family member can identify where their nervous system is most regulated and open to connection and where they become dysregulated and what their triggers are.
