Sex Therapy
Sex therapy is a specialized form of therapy designed to address the unique emotional, psychological, and relational aspects of sex while improving sexual well-being. We offer a safe and confidential space for my clients to discuss issues related to intimacy, desire, communication, pain with sex, and sexual boundaries. Talking about sex does not have to be a shameful or embarrassing experience. Though you may feel uncomfortable discussing certain topics at first, my hope is to normalize your experience. I create a safe space where you can ask questions and address concerns so you feel supported and heard.
Experiencing pain with sex, whether due to conditions like genito-pelvic pain, vaginismus, or dyspareunia can be distressing and have a significant impact on a person’s physical and emotional well-being. We are here to offer empathy, guidance, and connect you with resources as you navigate these challenges.
In addition to painful sex, you may be struggling with low desire and sexual satisfaction, difficulty lubricating, difficulty orgasming, or sexual-related trauma. You may be navigating a mismatched sex drive with your partner(s), anxiety or fear around sex, or feelings of grief or shame. My approach is rooted in a strengths-based and trauma-informed perspective, designed to empower you as you navigate painful intercourse and other challenges. There is hope. We can work together to find a way forward. We hope to empower you so your sexual experiences can become pleasurable and healing.
